I workout due to the fact that it makes me feel better. My reason isn't for results, other than to see how far I can push myself. I think the change is pretty neat, however, I've experienced so much in the music business that I found a good way to blow off steam is to hit the gym! My music is more of my 'twin brother' - I express my feelings and when I listen back, it's like I'm hearing my brother words and I can see his frustration, hence a better understanding of myself. It may seem unorthodox but it works for me. The gym is just the reality of having testosterone and needing to work out frustration lol. It's more so now therapeutic and relaxing. A chance to listen to my music and gather my thoughts.
Just some insight for someone who may need some perspective on how working out can be for more than just..........muscles O_o.
Sometimes, I write songs and I don’t know where the stories come from. I usually title the songs AFTER I finish writing them. I don’t know if that’s normal or not, but it works for me. I like to push myself to finish furthermore when I’m tired (like I am now) because once I’m refreshed - I’ll have a fresh perspective to critique it. Makes perfect sense, but may seem strange to you. Idk.. I just wanted to share these things.
Studio sessions to me are very personal. I prefer to be alone when I’m working. Either a engineer or ALL ALONE. I don’t like too many ideas from anyone. Well, it all depends on how its given. I LOVE great energy tho!
