On Day 3 of the WSG Texas Takeover with me, the gang drives from Mission, TX (Where NSN Festival is held) all the way to Austin, TX for South by Southwest. For solidarity, we decided we would get a van instead of two cars and ride all together.
Ian put up his GoPro in the sun visor and we did a time lapse video.
About an hour out of Mission, TX we hit a border patrol checkpoint…They didn’t hassle us too bad except for Brad. I guess he looks like an illegal immigrant to them. We tried to explain that the Philippines isn’t a neighboring country with Texas but the guy didn’t seem to understand.
Anyhow, we got to Austin by the end of the day…DAMN was that a long drive!
At the end the gang realizes that Phil looks like a young and more svelte Rick Ross…Maybe we’ll actually make that youtube video of the bawse hitting up a Target for some XXXL white tees…

Marky - Winning Streak Texas Takeover - Day 1
On day 1 of our Texas tour, Winning Streak hits South Padre Island for spring break.
We left DC at 9:30am and landed in McAllen, TX at like 4. We had to be at South Padre Island, almost two hours away, for sound check at 6:30. Needless to say, we were late. Demo and I still did our thing tho. #WinningStreak

We shot this over the weekend of Howard Homecoming here in Wash DC. Everything had to be done with precise attention to detail. Brad had the storyboard sketched out so we knew exactly what the shots were to look like while shooting. My father and I took the time to dig a 4ft deep hole in the ground and suprisingly, no neighbors nearby called the cops although they looked on with suspecion. It was freezing cold, windy, and extremely late but we managed to get it done. Hard work on this one and its all due to the diligence and patience of my crew. Ian and Brad brought this idea to fruition. This was my first time viewing the final draft and I was blown away this morning! Hopefully, you feel the same when you see it.

“Riding Low” TRAILER TEASER
I asked XO to jump on this record last October while we were in the early stages of structuring Divine Intervention. I can remember hanging at FedEX Field (home of the Washington Redskins) in the stands when Ian emailed me his treatment for the video. Phil and I were like, “aww shiiiiit!” I had to get my Jason Statham on, ya dig! The actual video will be released WED 2/29 - so stay tuned for that. Divine Intervention drops March 14th.
